Pneumatic flange butterfly valve is composed of a rubber-sealed butterfly valve, carbon steel or stainless steel valve plate, and stem. It is suitable for applications in water supply and drainage, gas pipelines, etc., in industries such as food, chemical, petroleum, power, textile, and paper, where it serves to regulate flow and intercept media at temperatures ≤80~120℃.

Pneumatic butterfly valves utilize a circular disk that rotates with the valve stem to achieve opening and closing actions. Primarily serving as on-off valves, they can also be designed to perform regulating functions or combine on-off and regulating capabilities. These valves are increasingly applied in low-pressure, large-diameter pipelines.

The butterfly type valves feature simple structure, compact size, lightweight design, and consists of only a few components. With just a 90° rotation, it enables rapid opening/closing and simple operation, while maintaining excellent fluid control characteristics. When fully open, the disk thickness represents the sole resistance to media flow through the valve body, resulting in minimal pressure drop and superior flow control performance.

Two sealing configurations are available: resilient seat and metal seat. For resilient-sealed valves, the sealing ring can be either embedded in the valve body or attached to the perimeter of the disk.
