Single Flange thrust joint: The core of force transmission compensation and safety protection in pipeline systems
In the Force balance and connection safety of industrial pipelines, the Single Flange Force Transmission Joint becomes a key component with its exquisite structural design. It is composed of loose expansion joints, short pipe flanges, force transmission screws and other components, and is equipped with sealing parts and covers made of materials such as nitrile rubber (NBR) and ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM). The loose part adopts trapezoidal rubber sealing. Under the action of the cover and bolts, the rubber compression elastic deformation principle is utilized to force the sealing parts to deform between the joint body and the outer wall of the expansion pipe, achieving static sealing. This design enables it to work in coordination with components such as Rubber Expansion Joint, Bellow Expansion Joint, Flexible Metal Hose, Flange Adaptor and Duckbill Check Valve, Provide multiple guarantees such as force transmission, compensation and protection for the pipeline system. ​

The pressure and thrust transmission function is the core advantage of the single flange force transmission joint. It can effectively transmit the pressure thrust of the connecting components. In the high-pressure pipeline cooperating with the Bellow Expansion Joint, the bellows compensate for the displacement of thermal expansion and contraction, and the force transmission joint bears the axial thrust generated by the medium pressure, avoiding the thrust directly acting on pumps, valves and other equipment, and protecting the safe operation of core equipment. In crude oil transportation pipelines, this force transmission characteristic complements the Flexible transmission of the Flexible Metal Hose . The metal hose absorbs vibrations, and the force transmission joint balances the pressure. The combination of the two ensures the stable transportation of high-pressure media. ​

The pipeline error compensation and displacement regulation capabilities have significantly enhanced installation flexibility. The joint can compensate for the installation error of the pipeline and can be adjusted according to the on-site dimensions, providing convenience for the installation of valves. When connecting the Duckbill Check Valve , the installation deviation between the check valve and the pipeline can be easily calibrated through the adjustment function of the force transmission joint. Combined with the standardized interface of the Flange Adaptor, the rework caused by size mismatch is reduced. When connected with the Rubber Expansion Joint, its axial and radial displacement compensation capabilities can counteract the slight deformation of the rubber expansion joint during the shock absorption process, avoiding damage to the joint due to long-term uneven force. ​

The convenient installation feature makes single-flange thrust joints highly favored at construction sites. The installation process is simple and convenient, and debugging can be completed without complex tools. This is particularly important when installing Flexible Metal Hose in a narrow space, as it can quickly achieve precise connection between the metal hose and the pipe. For piping systems that require frequent maintenance, its easy installation feature, combined with the function of Dismantling Joint, can quickly disassemble the pipe, facilitating the replacement of aging Rubber Expansion Joints or the inspection of the sealing performance of Bellow Expansion Joints. The axial tensile load-bearing function provides safety protection for the pipeline system. The joint can withstand the axial tensile force of the pipeline. When the Flexible Metal Hose encounters unexpected stretching, the tensile force can be dispersed through the force transmission screw to protect the corrugated pipe and mesh sleeve structure of the metal hose. In the municipal pipe network of earthquake-prone areas, in coordination with the Duckbill Check Valve, the tensile characteristics of the thrust joint can resist the tensile force caused by the settlement of the pipe network, and the check valve prevents the backflow of sewage. Together, they enhance the seismic resistance capacity of the system. ​

In multi-scenario applications, the performance of single-flange thrust joints forms functional synergy with various components. In high-temperature industrial pipelines, it works in coordination with Bellow Expansion Joint. The bellows handle large displacement compensation, the force transmission joint transmits pressure thrust, and the Flange Adaptor is used to achieve flexible connection of different flange specifications. In the municipal water supply and drainage system, the Rubber Expansion Joint is connected through the force transmission joint. The elastic shock absorption of the rubber combined with the force transmission protection of the joint reduces the impact of the operation of the water pump on the pipeline.
