Product Principle
The PTFE Lined Bellow Expansion Joint uses the elastic deformation of the stainless steel bellows to absorb the displacement generated by the thermal expansion and contraction of the pipeline and the vibration from the equipment. The PTFE lining is closely attached to the inner wall of the bellows, isolating the medium from the stainless steel body, avoiding the corrosion of the bellows by the medium. At the same time, the flange at both ends is connected with the pipeline through bolts, and the sealing structure ensures that there is no medium leakage. For the negative pressure resistant type, the internal support ring is added to enhance the rigidity of the bellows, preventing it from being sucked flat under negative pressure.
How to Use the Product
- Preparation: Check whether the model, specification and pressure rating of the PTFE Lined Bellow Expansion Joint match the pipeline requirements. Clean the flange end face of the pipeline to ensure no debris, rust or other impurities.
- Installation Position Confirmation: Install the expansion joint at the designated position of the pipeline, ensuring that the flow direction of the medium is consistent with the direction marked on the product. For the pipeline with large displacement, leave enough compensation space for the expansion joint.
- Flange Connection: Align the flange holes of the expansion joint with the pipeline flange holes, put on the bolts, and tighten the nuts evenly in a diagonal order. Do not over-tighten to avoid damaging the flange or sealing surface.
- Support Installation: Install fixed supports or guide supports near the expansion joint according to the pipeline design requirements to prevent the expansion joint from bearing excessive pipeline weight.
- Pressure Test and Debugging: Conduct pressure test on the installed pipeline system. After the test is qualified, check whether the expansion joint works normally during the pipeline operation, and adjust if necessary.
