Reasons for Leakage in Threaded Rubber Expansion Joint

Thread Union Rubber Expansion Joint is prone to leakage in the following situations:
1.Improper Installation:
If during installation, the neck of the joint's spherical body is not fully seated in the Flange groove, or if installation screws are over-tightened causing damage to the rubber sealing surface, leakage may occur.
2.Flange Compatibility Issues:
Using flanges that do not match the Threaded Flexible Connection specifications (e.g., oversized flanges) may damage the sealing surface during pipeline operation, leading to leakage.
3.Over-Extension Installation:
Forcing the joint to stretch beyond its designed compensation capacity due to insufficient length may prevent normal flange separation, compromising sealing effectiveness and increasing leakage risks.
4.Pipeline Stress:
Displacement or vibration of pipelines during operation, or inadequate support causing compressive displacement, may damage the joint's sealing surface and result in leakage.
5.Environmental Factors:
Prolonged exposure to harsh environmental conditions (e.g., extreme temperatures, UV radiation, chemical corrosion) may accelerate joint aging, degrade sealing performance, and elevate leakage probabilities.

Threaded Rubber Flexible Connection preventive measures:
Strictly follow manufacturer's installation guidelines
Conduct regular inspections and replace worn components promptly
Ensure pipeline system stability with proper support to minimize stress-induced leakage risks.
